ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Probably late to the party on this one, but just reading of the indignation of our neighbours over Real's wearing of a tee shirt emblazoned with 13 on it. Seems the wording was Hoping for 13, but the RS all over it for arrogance.

Lol the narrative on here about "Lucky Liverpool" is as blinkered as the RAWK fans you mock. Yes, Liverpool have had some luck with decisions against City & last night, but there's no mention of the 2 penalties Roma got awarded which were never penalties in a million years, the blatant push on Mane which could have been a pen in the first half, plus the luckiest own goal you've ever seen which gave the tie a more even complexion. Roma were never in the tie from 5-0 down.

Talk of Everton & Stoke keeping Liverpool quiet is a little misleading, as neither match had a full strength Liverpool side. Look to Man Utd if you want to use that narrative.

Madrid will rightly be favourites for the final, but both teams have strong attacks and suspect defences. The scoreline could pretty much be anything.

Anyways, enjoy the next 3 weeks of media hype of Klopp, Salah & co, chaps.
Cheers [Phrase removed]

Before the semi with Bayern, I was concerned with Madrid as they have looked like conceding in most games this season.

Bayern put them under a lot of the pressure in the 2nd half and they did defend quite well getting body's in the way.

The ref also gave them nothing in that game.

Madrid need to go a goal up and I think they will relax and force them into mistakes. The other lot going a goal up will make the game much harder.
This is it, real have to score first, if they do it's game over.
Bayern had a severe injury crisis, had they had there best players they would of easily beat them, Bayern just couldn't finish.
The other thing is Ronaldo has been staying out of challenges and saving himself this season, most likely for the world cup, at 33 surely going to be his last one he can play at and if he wins it will put him above Messi in a lot of people's minds.

Not as severe as people making out, and Robben was the only attacking player missing so poor finishing wouldn't have improved really.

People keep mentioning some of the luck they've had but there's no team yet that's won anything without some fortune along the way. I recall us getting mullered at Bristol City in 95 but somehow nicked a late goal and went through.

'Give me a lucky general rather than a good one' I think someone once said. Desperately need it to run out though.

Lol - if there's an Evertonian equivalent of RAWK, you're the founder member.

That's impossible and will never happen. Evertonians tell it as its is see..youll have probably noticed that since you came on here by the amount of criticism our own club gets on here be it on or off the field. That simply wouldn't happen on RAWK....youd be vilified and then banned for not towing the cult line. Bit like Invasion of the Body Snatchers over there I guess....and yes, we cant help laughing at them. But lets face it....they make it so easy for us.
