ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Honestly think they beat this Madrid side, anything can happen of course, but felt Munich with heynekes in charge would have gone through them, it's time to pray

Bayern were trying their best to throw it into their own net against a Madrid team that weren’t even pressing them. Add to that they struggled with finishing in each leg of the quarters and semis. I’m glad they’re nowhere near it. Every RS was praying for Bayern to top off the easiest CL run of all time.

Dunno mate. I think UEFA are gutless in not acting immediately, instead they will wait till 31st May to possibly punish Liverpool. Too late then, their intimidating scumbags definitely got to our players. I don't want to come across all sour grapes but it's tantamount to cheating IMO.

Sadly until you start pulling in as many tv viewers as Liverpool or United you’ll continue to be shafted by Uefa. It’s all money, the refereeing in the tournament has been an utter disgrace yet everyone is happy to gloss over it because they have a final that will probably draw in the biggest tv viewing for a long time.

Can even begin to think what you are going through and how it will feel if they win it.

Hope Madrid destroy them.
Used to it kiddo.
1977 was the worst, then got gradually easier as the years went by. Mind you Istanbul hurt because had they lost that, there was a good chance they would take a nosedive, such were the rumblings behind the scenes at that time.

all pep had to do was watch a video of their last game at anfield, guardiola is the only one to blame for citys loss

Even if they win it, they’re Leicester City.

It’s not like we’ve watched them dominate English football for years , I’ve spent my life watching them fume about Manchester United.

Leicesterpool and Mo Vardy

That Leicester side would batter this Liverpool side as well. FFS.

Then thing about Madrid is that they are clinical. If they'd had half the chances Bayern had they'd have won the tie about 8-3.

That Liverpool defence was probably the worst left in the SFs. Forget about Vasquez weakening RM playing at RB which wont be repeated. Against that Liverpool defence Madrid will fashion a lot of chances. Marcelo v Trent Arnold is a mismatch. And Ronaldo will cause all sort of problems drifting over to where Robertson will be. Benzema looks a force again and is a handful. Most of all the midfield will be controlled by Kroos and Modric who are far superior to Henderson and Milner/Wijnaldum.

I saw a RS last night on Smithdown going into the pub with a pair of shorts (non LFC) a LFC shirt, an LFC wooly hat, an LFC Scarf and some LFC gloves. That is no word of a lie.

Apparently it’s open season on Madrid because in a tie they were 3 up in they took their foot off the gas and this is evidence of their defensive weakness (a weakness PSG, Bayern and Juve couldn’t exploit in any other game). Liverpool concede 4 (could have been 8) and apparently that doesn’t count because the tie was over, Van Dijk is still a Rolls Royce whilst multiple winners such as Ramos, Marcelo and Varane are ‘flaky’.

Couldn’t make it up. If Zidane gets Madrid to the game with his first 11 fit and in form it will take a huge performance for Liverpool to beat them on a neutral ground. Instead they’re acting like it’s going to be a walk in the park, as though Mowbray’s West Brom team have rolled up at Anfield and are fumbling it round the back nervously.

Madrid took a B team midfield to PSG and absolutely decimated them at the Parc de Princes. They then just utterly dismantled Juve on their own patch. I’m the return leg once they snapped out the lull they just turned the pressure on and went up to a gear Juve couldn’t live with. Bayern are an incredible side and Real outsmarted them home and away, again.

There’s no way to predict the game, but the lack of respect in the English media for this Madrid team is absolutely baffling. This Madrid team have absorbed everything in the CL and La Liga from Simeone’s pressing, Barca’s tiki taka, Juventus’ defensive steel, the individual brilliance of PSG, the wing play and physicality of Bayern and have always found a way past them so far yet the kopite establishment is certain a bit of counter attacking kick and rush to three quick forwards will blitz them (despite the fact it hasn’t blitzed any decent team outside of Anfield apart from Porto).

Madrid would still think they could win the game if they were 3 down, thatsvthe level of belief they have in their ability. But apparently a bit of hard running from Hendo and Milner will be like nothing they’ve ever faced before.

It's Started

2PM this afternoon, walking past a town centre pub (alkies only one, admittedly) and I heard YAWN belting out. I'd have to throw up if that came on with me inside a pub.
