Have to take 100 deep breaths and a walk round the block before and after every time I look at RAWK to avoid kicking the dog into next year, these days.

That's why I am stuck on the thread here - I simply don't have the stomach for other sites.

I am relying on you lot to keep me up to date with this most fabulous turn of events!

They've blocked registrations so nobody can get in behind the Iron Skirt

Thats paranoia gone crazy.

I was laughing at their "Everyone laugh at Everton" thread yesterday. It was mainly focused on Landon Donovan of late. Etc.

Insecurity showing itself over their. But this Suarez business. Just shows they're absolutely clueless.

This bit astounds me:

There is, there is a direct translation. The Spanish word for black is negro. Simple as. It is not calling someone pal or mate, it's calling them black you f*cktards. Use that in a hostile situation and you'll receive a punch for it as it's a racial, derogative slur and Suarez knew that.

The apologism from the Echo is immoral and dangerous. There's plenty of scousers who are black in case they haven't noticed.

People in Argentina and Uruguay will use the word 'negro' to someone like Suarez himself with dark hair. In that context it wouldn't be offensive.
However,
1. They don't use it towards people of African origin as it is overtly offensive.
2.Using the diminutive form by adding the suffix 'ito' is belittling and frequently used as a slur for people of indigenous origin (indians) who tend to have black hair and a dark hue to their skin.

The ECHO will not publish that lid.

They'll refuse to. Even though its true.
