The best thing about this whole sordid business ?

Football supporters the length and breadth of this land are unanimous in their disgust at their reaction and the way they are still carrying on.

Disgusted that still, after admitting using the term, no apology of any description whatsoever has been offered to Patrice Evra, just more denials.

THE DOWNSIDE......

It won't just be li'poofu'b'llchlublaaaar that the smell will linger around, a great many will just see it as Scousers and that will have an effect on us. We should go out of our way to ensure this doesn't happen, not point scoring really just ensuring that the shyte doesn't get on us. (remember the St Pauli stickers ? I've seen them in some weird places all over the globe).

I think they might be banking on getting a reduction from 8 to, say, 5 games on the basis that he gives a qualified apology that suits all sides. The damage is done though. He wont get that use of racist language verdict overturned because the FA may as well pack up altogether if they do a u-turn on that.

thats what i think too, it probably be like 4 match ban instead of 8
