hmm i dunno, what he has done in an average team is very impressive..on form hes prob the best premier league player atm

Well Demba Ba is doing it for a second season with Newcastle. Yakubu scored 17 last season with ****ing Blackburn. I'd say keep it up for 4 or 5 seasons and then he can be spoken of in the same breath as Yakubu.

Seriously though he is clearly a good footballer, but he seems to be on his best form since moving to England, and this kind of form has lasted for what, 2 months so far? Even if his current form was to last for a couple of years he may be on the level of players like Van Persie, Silva, Mata, our own Fellaini, but better than them? Don't see how personally.

It will be hilarious when he goes back to last year's form and we can focus on what really matters, i.e. him being scum.

Hearing rumours that they'll let Downing join Middlesborough on loan..

That'll be £55m out on loan.. shocking amount of money thrown away.

I agree he has been impressive, is a fantastic player and is in a rich vein of form but if I could choose.... I would take Rooney, RVP, Mata, Hazard, Toure, Aguero, Tevez...........and that's without having to think about it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure the employers of Peter Sutcliffe, when confronted about his activities as the 'Yorkshire Ripper', didn't counter it by banging on about what a great lorry driver he was.

Roman Abramovich still sees Guardiola as the long-term successor to the Italian. But if the former Barcelona coach does insist on spending an entire year out of the game, Sportsmail understands the billionaire owner will ask Benitez to take charge on a highly lucrative short-term contract until the end of the season.

Former Liverpool manager Benitez has been out of work since he lost his job at Inter Milan in December 2010 but remains among the most highly-rated managers on the continent. He also has a strong working relationship with misfiring striker Fernando

I wonder if we'll see some Kopite revisionist action on Benitez if true?
