He hasn't had the same quality to work with. And in recent times £30 million cannot be consider such a big deal...
If he's spent £100m and 'hasn't got the quality to work with' then he's not a very good manager is he?

Personally I think he's done a good job at Bournemouth, but only good. Had he got them higher in the league in the last 3 years then great, but at a time when Leicester have won the league and Burnley, Southampton, West Ham and Swansea have made it to the top 8, 9th just isn't that impressive to me. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, but not a record that has me (or PL chairman it would seem) sitting up to take notice.

They nearly totally went out of business.
The ground only holds 11k.
Them even getting into, let alone staying in the Prem is some sucess story.
They would 100% get relgated without Howe, in my opinion.

As I said, he's done a great job to get them up to the PL, that's absolutely undeniable. But then Neil Warnock's done an incredible job to get Cardiff up and I wouldn't want him here either. I'm talking specifically about his record in the PL, which I think is OK rather than fantastic. 16th, 9th and 12th is a decent effort with Bournemouth, but you won't get yourself a big job with returns like that, it's just a fact really.

So you expect him to have taken Bournemouth to top 6, top 4, perhaps? With the Championship set-up they have there?

Given the kind of criteria you seek to apply, both Catterick & Kendall would never have got near the Everton Manager's job...

Moyes beat Chelsea this season shall we go back in for him? I just don't think Howe could handle the pressure at a club bigger than Bournemouth
God not Moyes if he'd won 5-0 at the pit it'd still be a thumbs down But I'd rather have Howe than Silva.

Hate to say it but the only people who think we are a big job is us.

If he'd got Bournmouth into the top 6 he'd be Arsenal manager already.

I can’t see why Silva would get the nod over Howe. If we look at it you’d have to say he’s done a better job and has got a better record than Silva in the Premiership. He wouldn’t be my choice but I would have him over Silva.

One might add that he has hardly had the massive resources to do so, but by God, his team has always battled to the end, unlike what we have seen from our own in recent times...
Very true that...they are known as the comeback kings (Jerome that is) ..if he could just get that defence sorted....;);)
