He’s done a good job, but I just don’t think he’d survive here. The majority of the fans wouldn’t give him any time at all and all that passing it round the back would wind up the boo boys too much. On a serious note though, a lot of his recruitment has been poor IMO but to counter that you could argue that his development of the players he has had for a while has been excellent. I wouldn’t trust him with money though- but then again, I don’t trust anyone at this club witn money anymore.

Still though, it’s far too comfortable for him there. They can (and have) gone 7/8 games without a win and he’s never under any pressure. A run like that here just isn’t acceptable and he’d be facing the sack. You’d expect a few hidings with him in charge as well which would instantly put him on the back foot with the fans.
Very good points, especially with the complacency at Bournemouth. I think he's done excellent and Josh King looks like he could be a world beater one day with the right side.

Honestly until we get a world class left back and some wingers, we can expect hidings no matter who is at the helm.

This is spot on. Nice guy. Most Everton fans like him. But I don’t think he would last long once things go wrong.

Two teams, one is Everton in a disaster of a season with terrible players, managed by the hated BFS, one is Bournemouth managed by the venerated Eddie Howe:

43 Goals scored, 55 allowed, 13 wins
43 Goals scored, 60 allowed, 10 wins

Which is which?

Yes.

No ta, I get why he appeals to some people but we're a bigger club than having to go someone as unproven as him.

Plays nice football but I've never thought of him as very tactically astute or flexible in his approach. When have Bournemouth ever won a game by digging in under pressure or by outsmarting the opposition? If they can't pass you off the park then they're an extremely limited outfit even if they do work hard.

Howe would suit a West Ham or a Newcastle. Clubs with a bit of ambition, even if they're totally deluded, but still enviroments were results are expected and if you come up short you face real pressure. Everything about how Bournemouth treat Howe is far too relaxed for me, he knows there's never any danger of him getting the sack or their supporters demanding a bit more. He needs to make the next step up ladder but that doesn't include the likes of us or the top 6.

What does "Allowed" mean?

Decent bloke who doesn’t act all big time if things don’t go his team’s way. However we need someone with more experience, preferably with European experience and being astute in the transfer market.
