I think they have decided to do it this season, and have picked out a massively controversial incident to start the ball rolling. First one of the season I believe.

Looks that way doesn't it mate. They possibly thought it wasn't a good idea to start with a major star at a big club or a complete unknown at a small club so they've looked for a blatant case somewhere in the middle ground.
Can't wait for them to start giving penalties for those tugs in the area at every corner. That will be fun

Agree with procedure but i think 2 matches is a joke of a ban.

I'd say create a player record on these events. First time caught 4 matches ban. Second time caught 6 matches. Third time 9 matches.

Doing it in any final of any competition 6 months suspension.
