To be fair anything more than 4-5 goals is an improvement, but it’s not going to be a big enough improvement to make a significant difference to our season. The bar is very low and needs to be raised much higher, not just the proverbial few inches. I don’t dislike him at all - I just don’t think he’s a game changer. He averaged about 0.8 goals and assists per 90min over the last 4 seasons, more goals than assists
Admittedly Leicester were more attacking but he was criminally underplayed imo
He'd improve us without question

The fact we as a club earn, estimated, double the revenue of Atalanta and we can't raise the funds to at least match their bid speaks volumes of how criminally mismanaged our finances are.Everton funds claim emerges in Atalanta race to sign Almeria striker El Bilal Toure

If that's all we need, than Kelechi Iheanacho is your guy. He played almost exactly the same minutes as Maupay (1,119 over 28 appearances compared to 1,113 over 27 appearances) but notched 5 goals and 5 assists to Maupay's 1 and 0.4-5 goals could be a game changer, could be a couple of draws turned wins and losses turned draws
Might mean we aren't 34min from relegation again
I just they'd hurry up and get someone who can score a few more

Seems that we couldn't probably afford iheanacho unless we are making a sale. Leceister know fair well that they can afford to wait for closer to deadline day and hoping for big money upfront by another desperate premier league club (not us though this time as we have no money)If that's all we need, than Kelechi Iheanacho is your guy. It seems like a massive upgrade to make that move, for a team that struggles for goals, especially if there's anything to the swap deal rumored involving Maupay for Boulaye Dia, which would further strengthen the squad just by removing Maupay.
If it's true that we were just shy of the funds for El Bilal, then we should have enough for Iheanacho and more, unless I misunderstand his valuation.Seems that we couldn't probably afford iheanacho unless we are making a sale.
