Elections to the Everton Fan Forum

I’d hazard a guess that the vast majority on this forum are middle aged white fellers. Including your good self if I had to guess.

So yeah, probably a good indication of our supporter demographic.

This could get mighty philosophical couldn't it... but if you judge Everton fans to be those who access GoT or go to games then you evidently exclude those who can't, don't or won't access those spaces (ticket prices have gone up, who has the time - read office job - to troll around here in the middle of the day?). Doesn't mean white middle aged men are therefore representative, just that they are the most visible.

Don't worry before you all get triggered, I'm not saying white middle aged men are bad (I'll be one in a wee while). And allowing other cross sections of society access to Everton doesn't mean you'll lose out, enough room for everyone isn't there.

Which is why - amongst other reasons - I'd swerve it.

That list is hardly representative of modern Britain in 2021. That's the point I'm making. How truly representative can they be then?

I dunno. Maybe I'm being harsh. I have nothing against those fellers and know they are probably great blues who'll do rather than just complain.

IIRC the club emailed recently asking if anyone wanted to stand. It’s hardly the club’s fault if the candidates aren’t representative of whatever demographic would seem to be suitable. Someone’s always going to whinge or feel excluded. The new trans area in the Lower Bullens isn’t enough for some of you.
