Let's not predict the future of his performances with us. He's a good player who hasn't had the best of times with City. I like the fact we give chances to these kind of players... picking Cahill up from the league below, loan-to-buy signings Arteta and Pienaar, taking chances on 'reject' players Howard, Saha, Kevin Campbell....

I notice that some of the reports about errors made by Mangala were from 2014. At the time he was 22 , Mason Holgate is 21 and when he makes a mistake we make allowances(rightly so) because he is so young and learning his trade.

If Mason Holgate played for City and made the mistakes that he has how would he be regarded ?

He is prone to really stupid decisionmaking in defense but certainly has the tools to be a very good CB, just has never done it consistently. Basically, you have to accept you will get the terrible error from time to time with him

So glad we got this fella . Still young for a CB and watching the barcodes fume has been so much fun .
I predict he will definitely make a few mistakes but he will save us more goals than if he wasn't here .

Thought I saw £15m mentioned yesterday mate? A guy a know through work and Die hard City fan thinks he's a good signing for us. Think its a good signing and if he does turn out ok still only 26/27.

Hopefully there is as knowing our luck he will be very good and someone else will snap him up in summer , last year Valencia had an option to sign him for 18m after his loan there , they wanted to but couldn't come up with the funds .

Always a player of big potential, he got a big move very early and it didn't d him any favors, you need to play at this age and an appeareance here and there wont help.

Lets see how he does, its a pretty low risk move with a potential big upside.
