Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

I’m sure his signing (I’ll reserve judgement till I see him play) does give us the option of going to 3 at the back. However we are still left with the worry of Martina now at left wing back!!!

You're welcome, of course, to a different opinion.

"The arrival of John Stones may also have contributed to Otamendi’s improvement. Last season, he didn’t have a settled partner, with Eliaquim Mangala often erratic and subjected to periods on the bench and Vincent Kompany spending long stretches on the sidelines nursing muscle injuries.

"Stones, 22, is Guardiola’s main man at the back. Signed for £47.5 million from Everton, he is the future of the club, a man Guardiola sees as capable of becoming the best ball-playing centre-back in world football. He has been a regular in the side, adapted seamlessly and had a stabilising effect—Otamendi being one of the chief beneficiaries.

"It’s early days, and the memory of his shaky displays last season remain fresh—but Otamendi’s improvement is clear. Calmer, more assured and more intelligent, he looks capable of justifying the £28 million price tag he came with when he signed from Valencia last summer."

And of course you are welcome to your opinion too, but that quoted article is a tad out of date and since them Otamendi Alba’s improved vastly under Guardiola. He has just signed a new long term contract and barring injury him and Laporte will Be first choice every game.

He's a pretty good looking fella to be honest. That said if he was running angrily after me I'd be out of there in a shot, size of the kin fella.

You're very well informed. Unless, of course, you're just guessing.

Came across well in the interview and has a lot to play for with the world cup coming up, and also I'm sure he feels that his reputation from being the £40m superstar has taken a hit while being at City.

His powerful play does remind me a bit of Koulibaly.
