Perhaps Mr Benitez has cottoned on to the fact that Rondon is a clapped out donkey, and is moving on to plan B. Here's hoping.

He's clueless and doesn't have a plan B.
Simms won't get a game fit or not. Rondon will get many games.... not that Rondon is or will be fit for this level again.

I am really pleased we have signed this lad for a further 3 years, I have seen him play a couple of times and he has looked good, There was one occasion last year when playing for Blackpool he flicked the ball over the defenders head then ran past him and scored a goal.

If Benitez did bin Rondon off for Simms (or Dobbin), that would for me be the biggest sign that he was the right manager for us.

Sadly he would have been a great defender for us - another player let go after playing very good first team games for us ...... Ellis Simms deserves a chance when fit his strike goal record is very good, a natural finisher ......

Mason Greenwood has only played 7 U23 games in his life. He had finished playing for them and been promoted to the first team before Simms had ever scored a goal for ours. People just write things lol
