Not all loans work out , but this has has for both sides, the highlight probably being the cracking 20 yarder against Hibs. His future will likely depend on our in and outgoings , particularly DCL/ Richarlison , and a good pre season could see him as our back up striker . If not he’ll be back on loan to either Hearts or a Championship club .

No rush , he’s contracted until 2024. If he is on loan and avoids injuries he’ll likely improve and score more goals next season and be worth more money then . There’s little downside for us keeping him another year.

That’s tempting,the savings in wages would make it worth while. I was the first one to “ Player Thread Sponsor” Beni about four years ago so I’ve always followed his progress, but our “ new Beni” is Tyler Onyango so we’ll see how he does in future.
