Not much chance to make an impact , I remember him making one header and a couple of decent touches. With our current team he’s not the answer to our problems, but it worries me that we seem to be looking at a series of Rondon Mark 2s , old experienced strikers past their best. If we get a decent attacker who could supply Simms with chances we’d be no worse off than just buying in an older attacker with nobody to supply him with chances. I’m discounting our ability to make two decent signings.

Ellis Simms needs to start matches so we can place the unrealistic expectations on his shoulders that he can save us, then after a few matches fans can slag him off and moan that 'he's not good enough for Everton' and is 'League One standard at best' etc., eventually crushing the lads' confidence and driving him out of the Club. It's the slowest most painful build up play I've ever witnessed. Nobody comfortable with the ball. No runners. Clueless to a man.

The way he was going he could have got 15-20 goals. Least then come the summer you have a striker who is proven in the championship. If we stay up then look to see if he is good enough for the prem or sell for a decent fee.

It's proper basics. The decision making at efc is just baffling!
