Using the chairman? How could he? The current chairman has been quite clearly, almost unashamedly, briefing against him the last 12 months. So much so that when he appointed Allardyce, he put the new manager and the DOF in the same car as him and walked with them into the ground, CEO and Chair nowhere in sight. This chairman and the CEO who is clearly his man have lobbied against him, and the culture they have set historically has been one of distrust and chaos - see the Ian Ross emails, it goes that far back.

Plucky little Everton with no money? We've been that under Kenwright / Moyes / Neville, the three dweebs who set a culture (your word) of 'woe is us, we'll be happy being Scrappy-Doo. Trophies won = zero. New stadiums = zero. Selling the best players = many times.

So bullet points:

Yes
Yes
"a manager because he was a fantastic CB" - absolute mince.

Koeman's record at southampton there. He also got us into Europe last season. Better record than Poch at Southampton. He was a fine choice, second season it went bad. Two subsequent managers have failed to do any better.

"Continuing to do so (given now Big Sam is there with all of his failings) isn't likely to lead to profitability". We're in profit and the debts are settled. So you're wrong.

But again, he chooses those individuals. He's brought in Walsh, Koeman, Allardyce... the list goes on. He's at the top and his 2 years has led to nothing. That's his naivety. Just because he hasn't identified player x doesn't mean he isn't ultimately responsible because he employs the guy who has

Let's break those choices down;

Koeman had to get us into Europe. He did. When it looked like he had lost control, he was sacked. Good choice, then it all went bad, so he was sacked.

Allardyce: clearly Moshiri thought we would go down (we didn't think it, but he did) so he appoints someone to keep us up. He has. Not been nice, thanks for the cheese, now get lost. Let's not forget before that he wanted to appoint a young, progressive coach (Silva) but thanks to Unnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnsy (clearly Kenwright's choice) plunging us into even deeper poop, we had to go nuclear.

Walsh: gets paid £1m a year. Previous club, he was credited (rightly or wrongly) with finding Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, all who when solved will realise big big profits. With Koeman, they bought a lot of crap. With Allardyce, he's bought Walcott (been great) and Tosun (who most people are beginning to get excited about). I think he will get a third summer.

And again, you totally underestimate the role of the CEO. The manager is NOT the most important individual at the club; in European clubs with DoF structures, he is easily dispensable, he's the head coach, he slots into a structure and is taken out when necessary. He's not the doyen like Ferguson, or Moyes was.

When Moshiri assumes full ownership and appoints comfortably the most important position - the CEO - THEN he takes full responsibility for the result. He's spent a quarter of a billion and hasn't yet put his own Chair, Board and CEO in place, and you think he is out of his depth?!?

But according to some lads he’s a fraud who got his money off his bent boss
Well in my opinion if a multi billionaire trusts him he must have something about him.
I’ve been a supporter of Moshiri from day one.
I’ve said all along we don’t know who / what is going on in the background and all we can do is speculate , some optimistically , some pessimistically.
A lot of lads are on Walsh’s back but unless we know who he signed and who he didn’t then we can’t reasonably blame him.
Bolassie , Williams ,Klassen ,Rooney , Martina ,were in my opinion all 100% Koeman , the rest were Walsh or a combination of the 2
If Moshiri is serious about taking the club forward then he has to have the balls to cull the club from top to bottom and rid us of the small time mentality
To do this he has to in my opinion

Appoint a CEO with experience of a big build to oversee the BMD build from start to finish to get it done on time and on budget and to the desired standard and capacity ( 61878 )

Appoint a CEO to look after the day to day and football side of the club.
Someone of the same Calibre of Dein or Gill

A commercial director to increase our revenue streams and seek out stadium sponsors

A DOF ( if that’s Moshiri’s desired option ) to oversee player recruitment and the playing style of the whole club
The DOF should recommend managers who will fit in with the clubs playing style and philosophy

If Moshiri does 75% of this ill retain faith in him , if not then I’ll sway to the side that he’s here for non footballing reasons.

Just a reminder that a multi-million pound organisation in a multi- billion pound industry is letting the message that its CEO is leaving be circulated by other sources first.

....but it is the majority shareholder who is "naive" and "out of his depth":zzz:

Well...at least we didnt do it on twitter...

Tbf the article states that he is ‘set to be appointed”

Two points; if he isn't, the club should be stamping all over it; if he is, the club should be informing its shareholders first.

Total mess.
There’s obviously a vacuum at Everton. No one knows who does what. Walsh apparently does transfers, until he messes them up and Kenwright steps in, even though he’s apparently doing less now, but he did advise on the managerial appointment which was ignored as Moshiri was in charge, until he messed it up and went with Walsh’s recommendation.

So on some of the biggest decisions for a club the CEO isn’t even involved at Everton. It’s a complete shambles and the first thing a strong CEO should do is push Moshiri to get some roles and responsibilities in place.

I'm 100% behind Moshiri mate, and fully believe he wants the best for our club. I also believe that, eventually, he will get us regularly challenging for trophies and UCL qualification. I just wish he'd take full control over the club and put his own people on the board as we seem to be at a crossroads at the moment.

Having said that, he doesn't get a free ride from me. Some if the things he has said and done have been a bit naïve. You can forgive him it but you can't just ignore it. And the decision to appoint Allardyce manager, which by all accounts was primarily down to him, was in my opinion the lowest point in my 50+ years of supporting Everton.

I reckon he panicked. He has a huge chunk of his personal wealth invested in this club and he was trying to protect it. I get that which is why I don't hold it against him. But if he had his own "footballing person" in charge of running the club, somebody he trusts, I'm absolutely certain that appointment wouldn't have been made.
