To be fair, even if he has accepted the role, he's a 8 year CEO - his handover period will be 2-3 months. Won't leave straight away, so would have to honour his commitments.

Until such time as a capable stand-in or totally competent replacement is entrusted to take on his role, he remains all too disappointingly as the club CEO, albeit hopefully with massively reduced decision making opportunities.

Good point, if he signs off on the 60k stadium that may be 10,000 less people that may go to watch Warrington, Wigan, Widnes etc. He may not be quite as dumb as he looks...
