He's lost a bit of focus but understandably so. He's no longer a hungry 25 year old out to show the world his talent but is now a early 40s megastar with a very successful career, international acclaim and a stable and sober life.

Rap isn't just a music genre, it is a culture and a way of life. People mistake it for violent lyrics and bad influences but if you listen much deeper there is a lot of music with messages, witty lyrics, smart punchlines, excellent use of multi's, rhyme, song structure, it's an art form at it's greatest. Hip Hop saved my life.

James brown once said "the whole of rap is like the outros to one of my songs" and he was right. So the dude who invented rap is saying that the entire genre is something he'd fade out. And I'd agree.

Haha James Brown talked alot of bull****. Nothing like a humble artist :/
 
I hate rap but I can listen to some Eminem songs. He has great ones such as

You're never over
Till I Collapse
Lose Yourself
Spacebound
Berserk
When I'm gone

Then you get the likes of Wiz Khalifa singing about weed.
