I just think what's the incentive for the FA to develop elite coaches if it imports them from other countries.

Also it didn't work out with Eriksson and Capello who were in it more for the salary than anything else. Although obviously that's not to say it would be the same for every foreign manager. And I think in these modern times the FA can't match eye watering club salaries any more

They definitely can't but they can match and go over basically anyone else's.

English is a universal language and most managers speak it already anyway - I'd say if they're good enough they should get it (veto process and all obviously).

Also imho this isn't developing anything - no manager will be given adequate time to develop, the FA and 'fans' want someone to come in and instantly be good with the abundance of quality that England has.

Get the best man possible for the job basically, regardless of nationality. He'll be hounded out by the crap media anyway like.

Yeah I wouldn't be gutted at all with Tuchel and like I said I'd be excited to see what he does with the squad. I just think England is the only "major" country that can't develop decent coaches, and importing them from other countries is like a band aid type of solution. But you're right for the quality in the squad they might not have accepted a mediocre English manager

My worry with Tuchel is how the players would respond to a disciplinarian. It’s quite a hard pivot in man management styles going from the last fella who just let them mess about and play on the inflatable toys in the pool. Something feels a bit off about it I won’t lie, I’m a bit cautious. Especially after his last two jobs where he got sacked for basically losing control of the dressing room.

Any of these players worked under tuchel before? Im sure they have but i cant be botherd engaging my brain 😂😂😂
