My worry with Tuchel is how the players would respond to a disciplinarian. It’s quite a hard pivot in man management styles going from the last fella who just let them mess about and play on the inflatable toys in the pool. Something feels a bit off about it I won’t lie, I’m a bit cautious. Especially after his last two jobs where he got sacked for basically losing control of the dressing room.
Yeah I don't think it would be a long-term appointment. I don't know much about him on the man-management side TBF. Did he lose the dressing room at Chelsea? He does tend to fall out with people a couple of years into jobs but to my knowledge it's more with those "upstairs" than the players.

Kane has, not sure about any of the Chelsea players like Colwill or Gallagher. They might’ve been out on loan when Tuchel was there.
I remember when Gallagher was at Palace Tuchel said he can't wait to start working with him when he comes back. Other than that I think it's mostly players who are no longer involved like Mount, Chilwell, James etc

This is a decent point. Which shouldn't be overlooked i think.

International football.......the players get very limited time together and in a way for the players should be seen as a bit of respite from the slog of modern day football with Champions League responsibilities etc.
I think that shown in the England camp this summer, were the omission of someone like Grealish was badly missed?

I get its not a holiday camp, but it should be seen as something fun and different.

I cant really see some mad scientist angrily yelling at the players with his -14% body fat during a 7-0 drubbing of Moldova going down to well

FA going all in for the WC in 26. They clearly believe this is a golden generation that can’t be wasted so they’ve gone for an attacking coach English or not

Bit surprised here.

But then again the FA have probably paid him an absolute fortune.

Also means Ten Jarg won't get sacked unless they want Southgate

One of the top 4 choices you could make, had to be either him, pep, Klopp or Carlo.

Delighted with it, he's a brilliant tournament manager.
Jep, you don't need someone to teach these players to play, you need somebody that knows knock-out games.

But it's a strange development nowadays to see managers like Nagelsmann and Tuchel taking over big national teams at such a young age as they could train some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Surprised at how quick it’s been done but can’t complain at the choice. There’ll be more details at the press conference but I wonder if Tuchel will take charge of the Greece and Ireland games next month or they’ll let Cars finish things and Tuchel starts with the WC qualifiers in March
