There’s been a succession of different managers and many top talent and not one of them has been able to turn it around. That suggests there’s a deeper problem that pervades. I think it’s the hysteria prone entitled fans who agitate constantly, putting pressure on team and manager that it can’t handle.

It might also just be that our European neighbours are just inherently superior.

It's an uncomfortable truth and the source of deep seated insecurity in the national psyche that led to Brexit. Head pat the Welsh and Scots all you like, but secretly they're laughing at you preposterous tits big time.

It’s understandable. England fans are used to success, what with the previous 2 world wars,1 World Cup, stop the boats and brexit. Can see why 2 competition finals wasn’t enough.
