England November a Friendlies vs Chile and Germany

Davek, last 20 mins Deu comes in and slots a winner. Let them basterds do their cons. Pact with the devil will backfire at some point.

Fingers crossed.

It helps when you have good preparation for a Derby - it's how teams with less resources can spring a surprise. Denied us by this international break...again.

It's right that they should too. It's a blight on football. My only complaint is that we dont have our players in that frame of mind to skip games...probably the answer to that is we have owners who like them playing for England/Belgium whoever, because it increases their profile and selling price.

It works both ways for me. I don't think it's right that it should be perfectly normal for players to feign injury to avoid international duty. If you want to play for your national side then you should be properly committed to it and play when you're asked to play, you can't pick and choose. At the same time though I agree that the fixtures are poorly organised and scheduled. Having so many qualifiers and friendlies in the middle of the season is just perverse. Friendlies for one are a waste of time anyway, selecting squads based on league form is part of the fun I think, makes it more exciting at the tournaments to see who bursts onto the scene. Seeing all the players play together in weird little games months beforehand spoils the dream team effect.

I've always thought they should do qualifying tournaments either in the weeks before the actual one, as in do all the qualifying games in quick succession, or have them all in the summers the year before. The footballers would like having tournaments every summer, they always say they don't really enjoy having too long off anyway.

Soft we are at this club. Big Derby ahead and they dont tell/pressurise these players to pull out of pointless friendlies with a niggle. Small club approach that sets us apart from clubs that mean business.

Upshot: Liverpool go into the Derby fresh as a ****ing daisy, while we have players knackered from two games in five days...last 20 minutes in the Derby it all could tell.

I don't think Baines will play tbh. Barkley maybe, Jags a cert!

I've only just realised Germany play England

LOL.

Come on Germany!

Really don't think they'll need your support mate.

Was just speaking with dad about this game. Could be 4/5/6.

Germany have said they'll be bring a weaker squad. No Neuer, Lahm etc... But a weaker Germany will still wipe the floor with England.

Why is the England managers cowards and pick the same player over and over, I would have tried this team in these games

What is this Delph obsession people seem to have?

Walker is injured.

You have nobody on the left.

That team would lose to Germany. We're going to anyway like. But hey.

AND

If picking AND playing the likes of Lallana and Rodriguez isn't picking different players I don't what is.

I reckon that new Wembley needs paying for somehow and the shareholders of that stadium are determined to make England play as many matches as possible to get revenue and make a profit. It's as cynical a move as that IMO.

We really do fall foul of this now more than any club. We have as many/more internationals than clubs around or above us but we certainly dont have the depth of squad that can cope with it. Can you imagine Everton involved in the EL next season with these pricks also calling for our players to turn out for them in their pointless friendlies and qualifying matches against San Marino or the Faroe Islands?

Nah. 1-1 I reckon.

You are spot on about Wembley needing to be paid for, but I dont think England play any more games than any other major country. And surely its good that we have international class players at the club?

For the price hike to our players.
