Despite Aussies trying to tell you the contrary, about 99.9% of their team can't stand Clarke and want Smith as captain, in fact they never wanted him as captain in the first place, so many problems in the past from being held up against the wall by his throat to commentating on games and discussing their plans whilst injured to refusing to be part of the team and sing their song and leave early to be with his girlfriends.

No surprise at all.

i said this a few weeks back.. watson and clarke hate eachother. clarke is a 'celebrity' in Aus, bit like beckham was in the UK. he's not everyones cuppa tea!

Aussie certainly have the advantage of the 12th man when they're at home, in the name of Channel 9, with it's biased commentary, adding 10kph to the Aussie bowlers, propaganda machine and flooding the country with support our boys messages. It does give them a lift.

unless they're getting battered

He did play a huge part in turning them around and carried their batting for a good few years though, he's a bit of a weapon, but katich crying about someone not singing a song can do one, be arsed with all that false camaraderie.

Haha true I guess, but it was less about the song and more about the reasoning behind his leaving I think. He's a great bat for sure and knows his cricket, but he won't be remembered fondly.
