I am of the opinion that generally, Rob Green isn't good enough anyway, Rio isn't the most focused defender at this moment of his career, Ashley Cole needs a 'rest'. He started the move that set up his own own goal!

Always remember Rio falling asleep for West Ham when that knob Barmby scored for us. He has not changed since other than having better players around him.

He was at his best with Leeds imo Think O'leary helped his defensive technique and concentration levels
 
He's Manchester Utd's best defender, this is a team who have dominated our League for the past few seasons and have been to two European cup finals in the last two years.

Nothing to do with having better players arround him, he's there best defender, Manchester Utd fans will confirm this for you themselves.

Also, how is he not giving 100%? Because he doesn't run around like an agressive headless chicken like Wayne Rooney? Give me a break, every footballer is different, they all have different personalities and act in different ways on the pitch.

He's a top class defender who's had injury problems of late.

he is a good defender. don't think he is as good as anyone says he is - because he seems to make mistakes, and loses concentration. Nothing to do with injuries that one mate. In an earlier game this season he was all over the place, the Holland game. He was just not on the ball.

Maybe he lacks the desire. Won pretty much all he can in club football. Maybe he wants to be on a caravan site in Prestatyn?
