Now. tomorrow - my tip for greatness for this World Cup, the Serbs.

Have to laugh at this ITV chuckle head analysis. Apparently that England side just have to turn up to claim 6 points off Algeria and Slovenia.

Predictable England really, i know you are all ( well, most ) proud and patriotic although i'm struggling to decipher the irony of some of your support, and with that - are you surprised? England limp in and out of most tournaments.

Good result for the USA.

England were awfull, simply awfull, im sure the big teams are watching that hoping to pull England out if they get through the group.

Four years on i see no progression in that team from Svens if anything they are worse. No midfeild, Gerrard and Lampard dont do build up play - long ball - 6 mill a year for Fabio.

No offence to the USA who played very well, but with the quality in the English team the world expected better from England - the big difference was the USA were well coached, had defined roles and knew their responsibilites on the pitch. England hadnt a clue, of who was picking up who, what their roles in the team were or any type of varience in their play - wayward passing and long ball - awfull. Secondly as far as i could see none of the England team had any charicter, they all buckled under the pressure and played nervy, really good players played like Bambi on ice, as if there boots were made of lead and the ball wegihed an extra stone - really poor passing.

Selection - Heskey - i think that is self explanitory - i felt sorry for him hes about three levels out of his depth. Gerrard and Lampard in midfeild - they dont do link up play between the back four and neither understands the others play. Wright Phillips on ahead of Joe Cole - Cole has the expierence and intellgence to create a chance, although Wright Phillips was one of the few England players who didnt think the ball was an armed bomb he was fodder with his direct running style up against two deep banks of four.

England really have to go 4-5-1 with Barry in midfeild if they are to have any chance of getting to the quaters (which i think will be their higest placeing if they improve drasticly) in this tournament. That is unless Capelleo takes the bold move of droping either Gerrard or Lampard because with the two of them playing England have no central midfeild.

To be fair they did well with no midfeild, but a bit sad to see no progression from the Sven era, or players with massive expierence in these tournaments and big games not step up and become leaders but rather succumb to nerves. The players and the coach need to take a long hard look at themselves after that performence. Long ball in the world cup, playing of scraps, wayward passing, no role definition - 6 mill a year!

England's Plan A = knock the ball long for big Heskey to get Rooney/Gerrard/Lampard into the game.

England's Plan B = knock the ball long for big Crouchy to get Rooney/Gerrard/Lampard into the game.
