I thought england would do well in this world cup, untill capello named his squad, and the team for tonight was crap if your going to play long ball, play crouch for f**ks sake. Carragher so obviously out of his depth and terrys lack of form continues. Cap will have to do some serious rethink for the next game. Good luck.
 

Well it wasn't the win I wanted to dish out, nor was it the loss I secretly expected. 1 point and at the top of the Group table, even if it is because 'E' comes before 'U'! Have to say, I found America's defence impressive, were all over quite a few of our chances. And Everton are blessed with a goalie like Howard, he showed good quality tonight.

Cherundolo was eating his freakin lunch then asking him for a toothpick. Weren't you watching? That was WHY the card.

And I dunno why the grousin about Carragher... made dolo have to react for card.

Christ but that was depressing.

America were awful and we still couldn't freaking beat them. Playing Heskey meant that Rooney dropped deep far too often so nobody was up there who we could trust to hit the goddamn target. Lampard was awful and Milner was worse. Gerrard didn't do enough on the ball. We were decent down the flanks but apart from that, jesus.

Still we were comfortably both the first and second best team on the pitch. Can't see why any americans would happy with that performance by them.

Maybe because since the draw we've been told we would get smashed.. I heard some crazy predictions.. 4-0 5-0 6-1
England should have smashed us to be fair.. We did what we had to do
