It's only fun when you are likely to throw virtual haymakers, not virtual kisses.

I need someone like Ghost whos fuming. I heard reports of his local McDonald's being wrecked by a guy with a sledgehammer in full Nazi regalia.

ah yea.. that story made headlines across the pond too.. bout an hour ago..

Capello got his line-up wrong in my opinion.

Joe Hart has been fantastic for Birmingham this year, much better than Green.
Joe Cole should have started LM instead of Milner, who went off after 30 minutes or so.
Dawson should have replaced King, not Carragher.

I was expecting better than that from the US, to be fair. They look, on that performance, they've gone backwards since the Confederations Cup.

We have. Onyewu is probably really and truly fully fit physically, but he was necessarily babied through the friendlies and isn't match fit. England's goal is arguably as much about Gooch losing the plot as it is about anything. Davies is (much) better than Findley.

England were fecking awful.

As was the commentary (how was this Heskey's best ever game in an England shirt, how did Lampard & Gerrard boss the midfield??), and the studio 'analysis', with the emphasis on 'anal'.

Carralaaa - shoite.

COYY

England are absolute f*cling tosh mate, credit the USA will you, they just buzzed off England.

If we're f*cking tosh then what exactly is the achievement in getting a 1-1 because our keeper messed up a shot a five year old could have saved in one of only three real attacks they made.

Fair enough, it's a good result for them but both teams played badly. And both teams need to get better in the following matches. And, on the basis of that match, they need to improve a lot more then we do. I expect most of their fans will want to see them play better than that in the next two games.

God don't remind me about the commentary. Cringeworthy.

Look I'll make it easy for you: Wayne who? Doesn't he play for that soccer team the Glazer's bought to bring real NFL class management to soccer in England?

(a little too much, maybe? I can't use Stevie G on the grounds that he did not in fact suck today)

This. Completely agree on all three points. King shouldn't have even started.

I didn't think Gerrard played that well to be honest. Tackled well and took his chance well but was far too wasteful on the ball. There was one pass late on which was just awful.

Disagree with you on Donovan... Donovan set up the most deadly chances of the match (minus Jozy's ownership of Carragher)... his services and composure on the ball in the midfield were absolute class - NO ONE else offered that option. Granted his efforts didn't lead to a goal, but you are overlooking the intangibles that the USA would lack without him on the pitch.

let me just say for the record: USA SHOULD HAVE WON THIS MATCH!

At the bar I was watchin the game (in Cleveland, OH) everyone was pleased with the draw, but upset we didn't take it from the English. Let's face it, the English SHOULD HAVE crushed the U.S... I actually thought that would happen in the first 3min fo the game after Gerrard's goal... but England crapped the bed (as usual) and the USA were in it to the end..... England were chasin the game against a squad that they should bury in the first 20min.... shame on England.

I am so pumped about this match it's unbelievable.... for being a top 5 team in the world, England sure looked like hell and the USA showed what their made of... so sorry for all of you who undersetimated USA ;)

We're not a top five team in the world.

As for Donovan, he looked very good at first but I thought he faded after Milner was subsituted. He never really got back into the game after that. Still he's a great player. Very dangerous.
