Nah, come on. I hate him as much as anyone but be fair. That's the kind of shot you want the other team take because it just gives the ball straight back to you. That was Green's fault and nobody elses.

Exactly, it was just one of those things and all the great keepers have made them mistakes at some point in their career.

But this is also not about club rivalry either, but I doubt that will deter anyone from referencing it.

Was I the only person really wanting Carragher to get sent off, and show the world what a [Poor language removed] player he is.

FFS, I'm slightly miffed (as opposed to fuming) at Capello. Did King go off injured? IF SO, WHAT'S THE POINT OF TAKING AN INJURY PRONE PLAYER TO THE WORLD CUP! AN INTENSIVE TOURNAMENT, THAT RECUIRES A WHOLE TEAM TO BE FIT AND ABLE TO PLAY.

Anyway, what I realised tonight is how much I actually dont care about England. Sure I want them to do well, but if they dont, it doesnt really bother me.

I thought the US lacked ambition and made me think what's the point in turning up if your not looking to win games, like Greece.

They defended well, but then England looked nervy and didn't really make the most of the space they got on the flanks.

I thought Gerrard played well, Heskey too had a good game. Thought Rooney and Lampard were massively disappointing.

I thought the U.S. did exactly what was expected, to be honest.. They pressured England from the start, dominating possesion in the first half.. Even after the Goal< - Which is all Steve Gerrard did well imo.. Heskey was'nt bad at all.. weak shot right at Timmy when he should have slotted Rooney though..

Was a very Sloppy game though, But I feel that was our plan, to make it sloppy..

At the end of the day, an average team drew with another average team, as soon as either play a good team, there out.

You're spot on about the yanks.

I don't get that on Heskey, though. He won the ball a lot yeah but he wasn't playing close enough to rooney for us to get the follow up so whats the point. A couple of his passes were clever, too, but then he also missed two chances he should have buried.

To me, we would have won that game if rooney had been playing the target man rather than heskey. As it was we went for the long ball too often, our mdifield didn't get up fast enough and rooney sat too deep and didn't do anything. If you're going to play that system then your wide men need to do well, which they did, and your front man needs to be deadly when he gets a chance, and he wasn't. All due respect to Howard, any international striker should bury a one on one.

a shot on target is what it is so you make your own luck - i wish EFC had more shots - also with this new 2/6 swerver (old money, young un`s) theyve designed its not gonna be too clever to let teams shoot as a bit of a tactic to get the ball back

Just got back from a ridiculous day. Watched all three of today's games in the pub and don't know how much booze I've consumed!

England were [Poor language removed]. No way to hide it. Had enough chances to win it but simply couldn't. I'm englands biggest fan so it hurts when we play so bad. Good job I'm pretty pissed. Heskey...did ok but I feel I'm better than him and I'm a goalkeeper! Rob green, I'd defo had saved that, but maybe not the one in the 2nd half so no blame there.

If gerrard doesn't start with Rooney on Friday I'll be fuming I just think we'll play better like that. I'm depressed.
