England v USA (support thread)

There was a USAian on our school staff. He was a teacher of mathematics but couldn't even say his subject correctly so the kids were doomed. Anyway- we all played indoor staff 5 a side at the end of a Friday. It was always done with good humour and in a friendly way. The USAian however, agsinst the spirit of the competition was fond of a barge a foul and a cheat. His favoured approach was to smash you from behind against a wall as if we were playing that Canadian game, ice hockey, often laughing while doing it. He was technically good enough to not need this unwarranted edge to his game. It goes without saying, given the cheating thuggish mentality that he also followed the rs.

For this reason I hope he's crying his treasonous beady little USAian eyes out by the end of this night.

Other than that - what world Cup? I'm boycotting it.

There was no reason to use one of our shorter players against your tallest players, it paints a symbolic picture that England are supposed to be the "bigger" country. Pulisic isn't a striker nor is he captain, so there was no reason to use him in that.

A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

It pissed me off.

Surely they used that picture because it shows the two players the majority of neutrals would see as the England and US main players?
