Was at that game being in my hometown… what a let down! feel this England team are trying to play quite differently. Should be far more entertaining

I was talking about the US!

But it is true England did have their issues with Algeria in 2010 as well.

There was a USAian on our school staff. He was a teacher of mathematics but couldn't even say his subject correctly so the kids were doomed. Anyway- we all played indoor staff 5 a side at the end of a Friday. It was always done with good humour and in a friendly way. The USAian however, agsinst the spirit of the competition was fond of a barge a foul and a cheat. His favoured approach was to smash you from behind against a wall as if we were playing that Canadian game, ice hockey, often laughing while doing it. He was technically good enough to not need this unwarranted edge to his game. It goes without saying, given the cheating thuggish mentality that he also followed the rs.

For this reason I hope he's crying his treasonous beady little USAian eyes out by the end of this night.

Other than that - what world Cup? I'm boycotting it.

had a similar experience with an American. He had difficulty understanding sarcasm and was over the top competitive/agressive in absolutely everything.
Even playing pool at the pub after hours was a nightmare, with him smashing his pool cue on the floor after every missed shot...

He also had a very nasal voice, resembling a flock of ducks flying overhead.

It pissed me off.
