Are you taking the ****** **** he's been evading the legal authorities stop defending him.

Go and support another club if you want to endorse players like that

I'm not defending him at all!

I am being perfectly reasonable in not judging anything about him one way or another because I wont pretend to know what is happening with him.

As for the go and support another club comment, slight overreaction?

I wont jump on any of our players unless I know the facts (and really it has got bugger all to do with anyone other than himself and those involved in the situation). It really doesnt have anything to do with the club nor does it reflect badly on us in any way.

It's not too late to get a refund on your shirt with Valencia on the back

At the very least, if the pursuit of him is based on incorrect information, he would do well to have co-operated and made himself available to be questioned. Surely it's in his own interests to clear this up?

Someone with his relative wealth, allegedly not fulfilling his obligations to his daughter, would be very distasteful and completely at odds with the great reputation, particularly in the charity and community sphere, that Everton and EITC work very hard to cultivate and for which they have deservedly won plaudits.

Not the type of character wanted at Everton in my book, if true.

I'm not convinced of that. One of our coaches and a club legend has got a prison record for example. I dont think it reflects on the club one way or another. He isn't even our player!

If (and it is an if for now) the situation does turn out to be true then its a bit rubbish of him to do that, of course it is, but there are much worse things going on that people do.

What i would say is that for someone with his relative wealth as you say, to not cough up the money there must be more to it than what has been reported.

It really shouldnt be anybody elses business but he hast helped himself with his Benny Hill homage either.

Wouldn't disagree with most of that mate, in the internet age in particular though player "misdemeanours" are just more likely to get reported, of course this sort of thing has gone on since time began but just gets attention now.

I guess the difficult thing is to decide what type of behaviour is damaging to the club and what merits further action. Players are human and so can be subject to anything from parking fines to far more serious offences. In my view, an alleged failure to pay child support is a serious thing - made worse by that fact that Valencia is relatively wealthy. Things can go viral in a split second these days and can be difficult to control. Overall, his name is linked with Everton in the reporting of this and it leaves a bad taste as I see it.

The wider debate on this is very interesting and complex I think.

.....from what I can see this is about him not complying with a judicial order to pay maintenance for his child. A court has already made the judgement but he's failing to meet the payments. It's not about being 'guilty' or not, if he's not happy with the judgement I dare say he can appeal but in the meantime he should pay.

I agree we don't know the detail but it isn't a good reflection of the man.
