You're talking about one offs against other clubs spending similar money. It isn't exactly a guarantee.
Mourinho didn't have too much difficulty with Porto and Inter. Both unfacied to win it. So with a team of the quality of man City why can't pep. Why did his team concede 2 extremely late goals to real Madrid last season. Bad management perhaps?

10 goals in the first 6 league games of the season, equals the PL record set by Micky Quinn for Coventry in the 92/93 season.

Not sure if anyone has bettered this tally in the pre-PL era.

In Dixie’s 60 goal 27/28 season (over 42 games), he had scored 8 goals after 6 games.

If Haaland keeps this ratio up (yeah I know he won’t!), he ends up on 63/64 goals over 38 games.
