Euro Semi finals - ENG V NL; SPA v FRA

Let's face it, getting to the final in these circumstances isn't something to celebrate - it absolutely had to be expected with literally every good team in the other side of the draw.

The performances, apart from tonight, have been largely awful. Tonight they came across the 'best' possible opposition in their half of the draw, and they - Netherlands - played absolutely awfully all game.

The referee handed them a penalty that should never have been awarded - a truly scandalous decision that has cost Netherlands dearly.

An unreal sequence of luck for England to get to the final, and they'll need another huge stroke of good fortune if they're to win the thing. Yet they might still do, seem to have the rub of the green.
Spain's goalie looks well dodgy. Put pressure on him and Cucarella and they stand a chance.

Just enjoy it.

Every team needs luck. England have been steeped - but have taken advantage of it to get this far.

In the final, anything can happen.

Have a sausage roll and stop moaning. :)

A bung won us that penalty and really he should have hit the target / scored with that opportunity.

He has added very little to the England team for the lst 3 tournaments playing the way he does. Get Watkins or Toney on and things are different.

Thankfully Southgate gave a sub more than 5 mins to make a change.
Oh I'm not bothered either way, I hate England and I hate Harry Kane.

But yeah he was snide enough to win a penalty and I guess that's what it takes these days.

The difference will be that Spain will actually want to score more than one goal, or will at least try to score throughout the game as opposed to Netherlands that didn't want a goal after their first one. They were embarrassing. Fully expect Spain, if they can handle the pressure of being massive favourites, to dominate all areas of the field and win comfortably.
