Will England's success boost the UK economy? - BBC News
The chancellor and others think the tournament could boost consumer confidence as the economy reopens.

I think it must be the England flag in the photo. People enjoying themselves, where will it stop? I think in part it is just a comment to get a few cheap likes from the anti-England morons.Sometimes I miss the subtleties of people's opinions: what is it about that photo that makes them cavemen?
Completely agree. He’s been great this tournament and I’ve been a fan of his for a long time. I was just posting this for the people that have said they don’t like him as a person. I think it’s important to read about his life to understand him rather than basing it on interviews he gives to the press, especially given the bad relationship he has with the press.I thought he was absolutely brilliant last night. His final ball or shot has let him down a few times in this tournament, but he creates so much of those chances himself with his pace, bravery and skill that it's hard to criticise. It's what sets him aside from the true greats like Messi and Maradona, but he's still probably been the standout player at this tournament, certainly Englands.
I was one of those calling for Sancho, Grealish and Foden to start ahead of him, but that was only down to form. I don't think any of them are experienced enough to bring what Sterling has done so consistently throughout this tournament. He's really brought his A game.
Sweet Caroline has been adopted by the fans for this shower of frauds. This would have been more appropriate...
Let’s not forget that Bonucci blamed Moise Kean for being racially abused while playing at Juventus. You should stop following football or supporting an individual team then as every team in the country have equivalent fans, including Everton. If you want to complain about football fans take a look at Italian ones, where there is a definite Fascist, racist element in a lot of their senior clubs - much more open and wide-spread than anything you would see in England - and pretty much tolerated by the clubs themselves and the Italian FA. The abuse that black players get over there is utterly disgraceful but they are not English so they must be the good guy and I'll want them to win over England any time seems to be the attitude for a vocal minority on here.
Roberto has already claimed that one.
They’ve even rewarded his failure with a new contract.
At least that keeps him away from proper football for a while.
He is, but I said countless times I hadnt watched him play.Ha Ha Ha.
You thought VVD was "rubbish".
You have no business posting on player talent.
He is, but I said countless times I hadnt watched him play.
I saw this Olmo and the other fella for Belgium that people were raving over, neither of them had an end product.
People are so easily pleased.
We're on the ball, we're on the ball

So are all England fans racist or are all Italian fans?Pretty pathetic, hearing uber-woke knobs who know nothing about football saying they'll be supporting Italy because of the behaviour of the usual maggots among England's following.
Italian fans are so anti-racist and treat black players so well, after all. No fascist element in their support or football culture, is there?
