Don't be afraid of Divock Origi who is still a little tender and is not a striker. Mirallas would be helpfull to us now however he was too tender few years ago.

I Think you have the best team, better than Wolsfburg who has a terrible defence (don't know the real level of Krasnodar but not easy), but the competition will be tough for everybody

Don't agree that they're better than McCarthy, Barry, Gibson and Besic to be honest mate.

Should be a good game, will be two close encounters both home and away. I personally think it'll be Everton and Wolfsburg that qualify but who knows, it'll be a tough group but I expect us to top it. Good luck for the competition and the season.

I don't think you have better defensive midfielders pal, we have McCarthy and barry who are boss.

We have Swansea a few days before that in the cup too which I can see a really weak team being put out for that one. I'd take 5 points from them 3 now.

Tbh mate as well, I think you vastly underestimate us here. I'd say a team with as good a defensive record as ours clearly is better in the CB and defensive mid positions than you are giving us credit for. we have excellent fullbacks and some very nice combinations all over the field.
As to the always in the shadow of.....we play a long hard league that some teams are better equipped to deal with due to their finances. On any given day we can beat anyone in our league and fancy our chances to do so a lot of the time. I'd really not like to face us if I was yourselves. Although I do expect some pretty good games.

Wow, the boldened part is certainly there to get peoples backs up lol.

To be honest, our wingbacks are probably your biggest concern regarding Everton. Baines and Coleman, they will run at you, play a bit, can dribble, cross and score and are still largely unknown, the sort of players that tend to get overlooked in a defensive strategic talk.... Once.

If they are on form and your manager hasn't prepared fully they will tear you apart, otherwise if they are nullified effectively, we'll rely on long shots, a lucky break or a Mirallas/Coleman/Barkley mazy run through your defence to score.

We'll try to hold the ball as much as possible, but we are shaky at the back at times when doing it and any quality pressing will result in you being gifted good chances, but I am still confident we can progress simply because we have a lot of quality all over the pitch.

If your boys are as good as ours like you say, should be a very good game, hope it goes well for you and good luck in coming second in the group :)
 
Been in work all day and just seen the draw, pleased with it cant wait to get to one of them. Have they released an details regarding when thebaway tickets go on sale? Also only had a quick look at the fixtures are we flying to russia inbetween the Liverpool and United game.

To me, Lille are like a team managed by Tony Pullis. Very organised, especially in defence...but unambitious in attack.

Our games will be congested but I think our full backs and wingers will make the difference.

Booked a flight out to Hannover early on matchday, staying the night in Hannover after the game. Will then look to stay in Berlin for the weekend as there are 4 or 5 local teams at home that weekend.

For Lille I'm probably still just going to drive via the ferry. If I can get a dart on after the match I can be back here in the small hours and save a day's leave off work.
