I would be tempted of playing the reserves in Russia no-matter what. We have a good bench, they should have to earn their money and besides it's just one game. I wouldn't want to sacrifice 3 points in the premiership for it.

I reckon that will be the toughest tie, away in Russia.

They lost to Real Sociedad 1-0 in Spain, but took them back to Russia and beat them 3-0 in the second leg.
 

Just booked my hotel in Lille. Its actually considerably closer for me than driving to Goodison every home game. Happy with that. With a ground capacity of 50,000, should comfortably get a ticket.
 
Pretty good draw, I'm looking forward to the Wolfsburg and Lille games, not too sure about the trip to Russia though, just hope there is no trouble over there.

I mean, one of your main strikers is a guy we educated ourselves, and decided to sell when he was just 19 yo because he didn't show enough potential to be in our team one day. That speaks for itself, and tells a great deal about the kind of football is played up there at Gooddison :p

Lukaku is OK I guess, quite overrated I should say, he didn't make it in Chelsea for example... A club who has bought his best player to who ? To us.

All these compelling evidences of our superiority over you should reach its verdict very soon : two clear victories 1 - 0 for the LOSC, "Girard Style".

Why do english people think us french are arrogant when it's just plain pragmatism :p


PS : I hope you're not the susceptible kind of football fans in Everton, who don't understand the values of friendly teasing and exaggerated bad faith before a game ;)

Its a pretty well travelled route mate, so multiple flights per day from dom and vuk airports - wife reckons around the 7k rub marks standard price - 120 quid.

Very tough group, any of 3 teams can realistically win it. However we have a secret weapon you will not have heard of.... Tony Hibbert..... the difference maker, we're just not sure who he will make the difference for.
