Staying in Berlin and aiming to get the train down to Wolfsburg.
Does anybody know if it is cheaper to pre-book train tickets or just rock up at the station?
Flights from Stanstead to Berlin are still reasonable btw.

Same here: three of us from Leeds on Wednesday, overnight in Amsterdam, then train the next morning that gets to Wolfsburg at 13.53. Check in to hotel and get out for the pre-match party. See you there!

I asked the same, pre book will be cheaper but they are quite frequent and you may have to get the train you select depends on the ticket you purchase. Might see you there!

I've prebooked mine mate, via db.com, and my single from Hannover to Berlin Schoenefeld is only €25, takes 1hr 40 to get to Berlin, very handy!

May pre book then.Looking to go around lunchtime for a few pre game
beers and catch train back to Berlin after the match.
If thing's pan out as planned ;)

Sound, yeah hope to catch a few beers in Berlin first, think theyll be more bar options than Wolfsburg, no idea what the rules are with regard to booze on the train. In wolfsburg for around 3pm latest.

There will be loads of pubs in Wolfsburg mate. Perhaps not right close to the stadium, but in the town for sure.
