and would probably be the easiest way of finishing top of the group. even if i do echo the comments about going to the san siro being boss. they're not what they use to so bringing them to goodison and beating them would be a possibility.

The 12 group winners and the 4 best 3rd placed CL group teams are drawn against the 12 group runner up and the other 4 3rd placed CL group teams.

Winners and runner ups of the same group can't be drawn together and teams from the same nation can't play against each other.

Any of those would be boss places to visit, well, maybe not Kiev at the moment.

Ideally you want to get drawn against the strongest team possible in the group stage, that way your certain to avoid them in the first knock our round, also sets the marker for the level we will need to be at for the later knockout games.

Brennan is it possible we could slip out of the second seeded pot if teams losing play-offs for the CL group stages drop down into this with higher coefficients?

Yep. I think we're about 17th or 18th overall as it stands, which puts us right in the middle of pot 2. If another 6 teams drop out from the CL qualifiers or win domestic cup comps yet to be decided who are higher ranked then it's possible.
 
The only European away in the last 30 years where tickets were hard to get was alkmaar,if you are prepared to sit in the home end you ll get in.

Cheers mate will give me a passing interest then in those qualifiers, would guess the likelihood of 6 dropping down with higher coeds or winning the cups etc is unlikely though, without having the actual teams likely to be in pot 2 though at hand i'd guess looking at the pot 1 ones that we should even if in the third pot be too strong for any of the 2nd seed teams
 

It's also possible that teams like Besiktas, Porto, Lille, Bilbao, Leverkusen, or Napoli could drop down into the Europa group stages. All of whom would probably go straight into the top seed group and therefore be possible opponents.
