Good to see Hapoel Tel Aviv lose 3-0 today...didn't really fancy a potential trip to Israel, and now just need 2 others to drop out for us to move up to pot 2....
 
Anyone remember the name Araz Abdullayez? Scored today in the 2nd Round Qualifying for Neftchi. Another Moyes prospective pick-up, don't think he ever played for us. Fancy a trip to Azerbaijan? Land of Fire as Atletico Madrid informed me.

Click on the tab next to it that says "club coefficients"....... you are just looking at what gets added to us for this season so far, but if you click on the other tab it shows the 5 year history which UEFA use, and it also explains how you earn "points"

Cool - so how are we doing now? How far up do we need to get to secure Pot 1?

A long way.

Our score won't change until we actually play, there is actually a fairly decent chance that we could infact end up, in Pot 2, as opposed to pot 3, as the seedings from Bert Kassies, are based on the 'best' team, for example Cluj, and Hapoel Tel Aviv are higher than Everton, but Hapoel are seemingly out, as they lost 3-0 to some Kazakh side in their first match, Cluj on the other hand, drew 0-0 so could also go out.

Essentially, there are 26 teams with a higher coefficient than us in this Europa League at the moment, and 22 of them need to actually qualify. Hapoel going out effectively means that we need 2 more teams with a higher coefficient to go out, in order for us to make pot 2. and 14 to go out for pot 1.

Obviously there is the CL dropouts, of which, a minimum of 6 teams will have a greater coefficient. It's oh so complicated. But look at Ber Kassies website.

Talks on SSN of Ukrainian teams being kicked out of Europe, nothing confirmed just pure speculation.

Would leave one space in CL though and two in EL...

One of the best footy websites online. A hell of a lot clearer and informative than UEFA's own website. Absolutely invaluable. Handy enough too even when we're not in Europe for knowing when the dates are so we can tell if any of our games could be moved because of opponents participation in Europe.
