Is there any way of finding out if we will play at home in the first group game or will it depend on group draw

It will depend on our pot.

If we're in Pot 2 or Pot 3... here is the listing.

Gameday 1: 2 Vs. 3, 4 Vs. 1
Gameday 2: 1 Vs. 2, 3 Vs. 4
Gameday 3: 3 Vs. 1, 2 Vs. 4
Gameday 4: 1 Vs. 3, 4 Vs. 2
Gameday 5: 3 Vs. 2, 1 Vs. 4
Gameday 6: 2 Vs. 1, 4 Vs. 3

Which means by my reckoning, 23rd October is deffo at home, before Burnley away.

Is there any possibility of us being in Pot 4? We haven't been in europe in a while and when we where didn't have the best campaigns. How can you find out our Co-efficiency and the other teams competing in europa league this campaign?

Yes, technically, but for that to happen you'd need all the top seeds to go through, which is hugely unlikely i.e. Hapoel who are 3-0 down already, and you'd then need teams from the CL Champions route to go out, so that's RB Salzburg, Celtic, Steaua Bucharest, APOEL Nicosia, Bate Borisov and Sparta Prague to all go out either in the third and fourth stages, and then scenario's such as Zenit and co going out early, long story short it's not happening.

For last season we'd have easily been in group 2, as Freiburg on 15.922 were the lowest (Our coefficient is 24.954), this year sadly, the teams are 'better' therefore we could get a 'tougher' draw.

For coefficients, see Bert Kassies. The Co-efficients are based on league ratings, and so forth, for example, the better the nation does as a whole, the more teams less frequent to Europe e.g. Everton will benefit, so in a way, you want Spurs and co to do well in Europe as it benefits Everton, albeit not by much, but without their performance, the possibility remains that England could lose the 4th CL place, and subsequently 6th would be required to qualify for Europe.

Sounds complex, it really isnt. We'll be in Pot 2 should certain teams under perform, if not, we're guaranteed pot 3.

Is that for definite. Where did you find that info?

Thanks for clearing that up!

That doesn't alter the fact Israel is not in Europe and as such it's clubs should not be playing in European football competitions.

In addition, Israel have contributed absolutely nothing apart from Eyal Berkovic and Ronny Rosenthal's miss.

They wouldn't be missed.

Went the passport office yesterday to see about getting mine renewed, fella said its taking about 4 weeks right now, sweatin on this!!

Draw for the 3rd QR was made last week and includes these relevant ties.

UEFA Europa League third qualifying round (31 July & 7 August)
FK Mladá Boleslav (CZE)/NK Široki Brijeg (BIH) v *Olympique Lyonnais (FRA)
*PSV Eindhoven (NED) v PFC Botev Plovdiv (BUL)/SKN St Pölten (AUT)
FC Astana (KAZ)/*Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC (ISR) v Linfield FC (NIR)/AIK Solna (SWE)
FC Petrolul Ploiesti (ROU)/KS Flamurtari (ALB) v *FC Viktoria Plzen (CZE)
FC Dinamo Minsk (BLR) / Myllykosken Pallo-47 (FIN) v *CFR 1907 Cluj (ROU)/FK Jagodina (SRB)
*Club Brugge KV (BEL) v Brøndby IF (DEN)
* seed with a ranking above Everton

So, on the face of it, Tel Aviv would face a home leg outside Israel, Cluj may have to play Dinamo Minsk and Brugge face a tricky tie against Brondby - we need 3 teams to fail in the 3rd and 4th Qualifying Rounds (where another 10 teams with a ranking above ours will enter the competition) - in other words 3 (or more) of 16 teams to fail to qualify for the Group stages would put us in Pot 2.
