As you know we're presently in Pot 3 (position 2) - we need a net total of 2 teams ranked above us to drop out (that is 2 more to drop out from the EL after any seeds drop in from losing in the CL.

Just in regards to FK Astana Dan, i believe the coefficient only carries on for one round. I may be mistaken, but i don't think they'd carry the 34.000 of Hapoel in the next stage, were they to progress.
In regards to the 'immaterial' teams, you'd arguably want the better team to go out, so Dnipro and Standard Liege out, and then the weaker sides, may struggle in the next round, potentially knocking all 4 out.

Yes, they do lose the co-efficient now you mention it but I think Kassies site has taken that into account for later rounds by reverting those giantkillers to their original placing. So we should ignore that result for this purpose.
