What if all "better" teams will get through and all "better" ones win their ties in CL qualification? We're going back to pot 3?

Focusing on the EL draw for a sec, I think it gives us hope of making pot 2....
Assuming the top teams (Lyon, Inter, Spurs, PSV and Villarreal) win and enter the EL group draw, that leaves a cluster of teams above us in the ranking (ie, forecast to be in Pot 2 or above) but who might go out in round 4 (allowing us to climb higher into Pot 2 for the group draw).

They are:
FC Twente Enschede Ned 50.862
Metalist Kharkiv Ukr 45.693
PAOK Thessaloniki Gre 37.720
Club Brugge Bel 32.260
Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Ukr 32.193
Trabzonspor Tur 31.340
Panathinaikos Gre 30.220
Sparta Praha Cze 28.870
Borussia Mönchengladbach Ger 25.328

Some of their matches, against teams ranked lower than Everton, look kind of even...(but any European football buffs, please enlighten...)

Sarajevo(BIH) v Mönchengladbach(GER)
Zwolle(NED)v Sparta Praha(CZE)
Dnipro(UKR)v Hajduk Split(CRO)

And, just maybe...
Trabzonspor(TUR)v Rostov(RUS)
Ruch(POL)v Metalist(UKR)

If any of the teams in bold lose their 4R tie, we move up in the ranking.

Our best hope is Zwolle knocking out Sparta Praha. The Gladbach game is far from even, they are a good side.

Olympique Lyon Fra v Astra Giurgiu Rom
Stjarnan FC Isl v Internazionale Ita
AEL Limassol Cyp v Tottenham Hotspur Eng
PSV Eindhoven Ned v Shakhtior Saligorsk Bls
FK Astana Kaz v Villarreal Esp
Garabag Agdam Azb v FC Twente Enschede Ned
Ruch Chorzow Pol v Metalist Kharkiv Ukr
Zimbru Chisinau Mol v PAOK Thessaloniki Gre
Grasshoppers Sui v Club Brugge Bel
Dnipro Ukr v Hajduk Split Cro
Trabzonspor Tur v FK Rostov Rus
Panathinaikos Gre v FC Midtjylland Den
PEC Zwolle Ned v Sparta Praha Cze
FK Sarajevo Bos v Borussia Mönchengladbach Ger

Some tough ties for the teams seeded and ranked above us. By the time the 2nd legs are kicking off we will know how many (if any) need to lose to keep us in Pot 2 (if any of the 5 seeded Champions lose in the final QR - most likely Celtic then that number of seeded teams must lose in the Europa.

FK Astana seem to have the money treatment but I guess Villarreal will be too smart for them. Metalist might struggle, Brugge have a tough-ish tie and Trabzonspor likewise. Panathinaikos and Sparta Prague look to have tricky tasks.

NK Maribor Slo vs Celtic Sco
FC Salzburg Aut vs Malmö FF Swe
AaB Aalborg Den vs APOEL Nicosia Cyp
Steaua Bucuresti Rom vs Ludogorets Razgrad Bul
Slovan Bratislava Svk vs BATE Borisov Bls

Results in the CL so far ensure that the RS will be in pot 3 whatever happens. They will have to face one of:

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Atletico Madrid (possibly Porto, Schalke) and also

one of:

(Schalke, Dortmund, Juve, PSG, Basel, Zenit)

Ideally a big name, Dortmund, Juve or PSG and AS Monaco or Roma - but, knowing how much they can fix things they'll probably get Benfica, Basel and Steaua.

PSV have a tricky tie too. Spurs going to Cyprus shouldn't be too hard, and Lokeren will give Hull a push, that's for sure.

We're still in pot two.

The only way we'll be in Pot 3 now, is if the CL Dropouts with a higher coefficient, outweigh those who get knocked out the EL with a higher coefficient.

A possibility they could actually face Real, Dortmund and Monaco in their group. Tasty.

Dont care who we play or where it is...... Im going and i cant wait!!!!

And im taking chico to 1 of the away games hope its Russia or Ukrain...

I hope EFC will face [Croatian side] Rijeka (that will go past Sheriff, I give them 80% chance).

I was wondering something - would it be possible to get tix for away European games via Everton?

No Chance, especially not for Rijeka, their ground holds 10,000? I'd say it'll be a struggle to even get tickets in the home end, we'll unless you're a Croat.

I mean, unless they move the game, which is doubtful. But Croatia would be interesting.

Yes, 10k, and I know you would get small part of it, but I don't want to get tickets that would place me with home fans, I would only go to the Everton's section :) so I was wondering about chances to get it via EFC (like, surely they would not sell all their tickets out lol)
