I live in Spain and Belgium
In Spain Nobody dislikes the English
In Belgium they are too busy haring the french and Germans to dislike us
but interestingly whenever I go anybody called Kurt is totally unpopular especially xenophobic ones

Of course there’s a political element to it, but to say that’s the sole element to why we consistently do rubbish is naive.

The BBC, for whatever reason, continue to choose artists and productions that don’t suit the model of the competition - it's not a UK Top 40 chart.

UK's entry sucked as per but, tbf, I doubt they want to host it next year. Was appalled to see that drippy French song storm into a lead with the judge's vote but justice prevailed and well done to Italy. Finland and Ukraine were other highlights for me.

To be fair I don’t think anti English votes were needed. This was the worst song and performance, totally out of tune.
