Always make me laugh that the country who gave the world 100s of utterly brilliant bands and performers get a Nil Point from Estonia.

Continental Europe doesn't exactly love Britain. Never has done. A Belgian pal of mine reckoned it was because Europeans were resentful at having been liberated by Britain and the allies during World War II. I just think it's more to do with the fact that the UK and Continental Europe are so different culturally, despite being ethnically the same.

What I have always wondered is why is the show hosted in English despite the fact we are the only country that speak it in Europe?

English is the lingua franca of the whole planet. And the UK isn't the only European country to have English as an official language. What about the Republic of Ireland?
