I'm a Birmingham fan in peace and wish you guys the best of luck for the new season.

I've been having a debate with my own supporters over one of our strikers, and the fact that Bobby Zamora has been called up to the England team.

The majority of our lot, believe that Cameron Jerome is better than Bobby Zamora. They would also prefer Jerome in our team than Zamora.

You guys are more than a level up from us in the Premier League, a team that I think if Jerome was any good, would be interested in him.

So who would you have in the Everton team?

Jerome or Zamora?

Neither. We've got Saha, Yak, Beckford who are all better (the latter of which will be shown this season).

Plus Anichebe and Vaughn the former of which can play on the wing as well... the latter who is still relatively young.

Both Zamora and Jerome are players we really don't need or have an interest in.

Thanks for the reply mate. As I said, you guys are a level above us, by miles, so I wouldn't expect you to want to sign either.

But I'd like to know if you HAD to sign either, which one it would be.

I like that Jerome lid, but i think he suits Brum and that Brum suits him, he has found his right club in you lot. I think if i had to pick out of the two, i would go for Zamora, only because he has a bit more experience at Prem-level, but Jerome has proven he can score goals at this level. Decent player for you, you sound like your happy with him?

I'd say both would be massively overpriced as they're important to their own teams. But don't think they could replicate it for us as we have a different system of play.

Having seen both - out and out goal scorer - Zamora although Jerome is more skillful all round player who is involved in more of the play.

I'd go for Zamora - he's got more experience and seemed to find his touch a bit last season. The whole hair thing does me off for Jerome. No real explanation for it as I like Pienaar and he's got the worst haircut in sport. That shaved / braided mess...

Good luck this season.

alright mush. good to see another blues on here.

im not jeromes biggest fan my man so would have zamora any day of the week. hopefully mcfadden can step up this season.

Jerome has potential mate but based on last seasons forum probably Zamora, that could change though, decent team you put together there. Nzogbia would be a good signing.

I'm not happy with him at all. Every time he gets the ball his feet move like Michael Flatley in panic-mode, and he hasn't got a clue what to do with it.

Most of our supporters, just because he's scored a few coming off his backside last season, think he's the second coming of Drogba. Just because he can run a bit fast and has physical presence.

Personally, I'd have Zamora every day, who can actually control a football and look dangerous with it when it's at his feet.

I just wanted to get another view on who other supporters felt were better without the bias that our own lot come out with.

You lads on here the last time I posted were top notch which is why I thought I'd ask here.

Birmingham City fans should be concerned with their outgoings - as in the amount they've been spending relative to revenue has been excessive in my view...

Both Villa and Birmingham are maxed out in the credit stakes... and these splurges you both seem to go on ultimately can have a negative effect.

Villa are suffering a hang over from last summer in that case! spent spent spent.

I'm interested to know - have Birmingham got any good young players coming through? U21's we should keep an eye on? Because as well as signings that is the measure of you going up a level as a club. i.e. challenging for Europe season in season out

(on a relatively small revenue stream)
