He needs to manage West Ham for a couple of years and get them winning things to prove he is a great manager and not just a good manager with a great team.

Not knocking what he has achieved, sure he inherited some great players but to keep United at the top for so long does mean he is a very good manager.

But his job is made a lot easier by the cirumstances he finds himself in.

Could he het someone like Hull or Blackpool from the lower leagues to the Premierleague?

There are maniacs and there and sociopaths, and I'd have Clough 79 and 80 for the history. Now there was a side from nowhere.

Good point mate

Clough was a genius

And what a team he built

They spent a bit of money though in the context of the times

Shame about Gary Birtles

Have you heard of a team called Aberdeen mate ?

To be honest i haven't got a clue what he done at Aberdeen other than winning the cup winners cup.
Broke the old firm hegemony. Not sure of his role of honour up there but includes leagues and cups.
Basically knocked the 3 most successful club teams in Britain off there perches. Love him or loathe him, there's no denying his greatness.
