Well that was an unexpected point. But again Dyche sets up the team for 0-0 every week, good team or bad team so it makes sense. Turns out we ARENT in the relegation zone at Christmas time as some fearmongering went. Instead we are still ahead of 5 teams.

….you can only play the hand you’re dealt and maybe we’d be like Ipswich and Soton if we were more expansive, who knows.

Chelsea must have hated that and good on that defensive organisation and commitment to thwart genuine attacking quality. We could have nicked it had Harrison not spurned an easy chance, symptomatic of our lack of quality in attacking areas. All in all I was content to see only 2 mins injury time and hear the final whistle.

Young terrific in the first half, hardly gave Sancho an inch but that changed in the 2nd and he had to get hooked when he did. The middle three worked so hard, but I thought the 2 CBs were combative and secure against genuine talent. Branthwaite maybe had his best game of the season and earns my MOM vote.

A welcome point but a brand of football I would rather slit my wrists than keep watching.

Thought it wasn’t too bad second half we created chances, arguably having the best one of the game and would have scored if we had a decent right winger.

Football is played on both side of the pitch and you didnt see the work he put in to help Young. Young is always the weak part of Evertons defense and needs a lot of help

Seamus coming on to replace Young is a sure indication that the former will step in for the suspended latter at City and that Dyche doesn’t rate Patterson very much IMO.

Progress. Definitely would have taken 1 never mind 2pts from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Luckily I fell asleep from the 35th minute so missed out on any potential stress. Dreaded checking the score but can now enjoy my Christmas on a positive note. Have a good one folks, hear's to a brighter future
