Part of the thing that really gets me about everybody acting like Gordon has become some superstar in the last year is that their team got noticeably worse the moment he became one of their main players. And whenever I see his goals and assists, they're pretty classic "if you can keep scoring these, good on you, but this is clearly not sustainable beyond a purple patch, and will likely stop if defenses ever start treating you like an actual threat" type stuff.
