Disappointed, professionalism and punctuality needs to improve right across the club, the media aspects particularly and a change of approach to being on the front foot playing wise, with some Wayne Clarke type new face additions in this window.

Two goalkeepers on the bench says it all, you are allowed five substitutions this season.

How many times do these gits over run the ball or misplace a pass without the opposition having to do anything. Shown themselves to Moysie now anyway.
Days are numbered for most of that clueless shower of non footballers. Maybe 5 out of that whole team inc subs worth trying to keep. Who wud want the rest who knows?

What, told to play high aimless balls up the pitch to no one?
I know Dyches a dinosaur, and Moyes has for some unknown reason stuck with Dyches set up tonight, but I would be very surprised if either of them told Jordan to do that
He has definitely been told to kick it long. No surprise. Some found players, some didn't. But, for argument's sake, let's agree that he is deciding to kick it long, well, that might be because he looks up and sees no one of any quality in front of him to pass it to...

yes very difficult to hit the target from 2 m. Normally he hits the keeper. The concept to get it past the keeper…..
Have you played football before?

I shouldn't have to tell you why that DCL chance is more difficult than the Watkins one if so.

I'm not saying it's a difficult chance, but the two chances aren't comparable. One is an open net with the ball at a basic standstill. The other is on the bounce with the ball slightly behind him. Still has to hit the target ofc, but that's not what I'm arguing

Few on here need to relax

Expecting to see night and day in less than a week is cuckoo stuff

We were definitely more of a threat going forward, both full backs played higher which allowed the wingers to occupy more of the central areas in the final third, and we tried to play through midfield a little more. Angles were a lot better for crosses and through balls and I think that told with the type of chances that we created

Thought we also defended a lot more narrow on the ball too, making them play round the outside. We've been too easy to play through in the centre of the park under Dyche this year, so that's something to watch out for.

We looked wobbly on the transition and couple of very sloppy errors cost us for the goal, otherwise that was an even match that probably warranted an draw.

As for the personnel/subs, don't think we can be too critical - most gaffers would come in and say: right you lot have been the starting XI all year, show me why. I reckon Moyes would've learnt enough tonight to tell him that Young can't be trusted, Harrison offers nothing, and DCL needs to be more clinical. Equally probably looked at Beto and thought this guy is a lump, so I either need to create more chances for Dom that he can't miss, improve his finishing in training or (more likely) replace with someone who knows where the net is.

Otherwise that was a marked improvement imho
Your sheets are dry, buddy. 👍

David Moyes has been back for 3 days. He has Dyche’s squad. Villa are a much better team. If you genuinely expect to see a totally different team after 3 days you, as the kids say, don’t know ball.
The only thing I disagree with there is that it is "Dyche's squad". He inherited most of them

…..different manager, same mediocre players, same outcome.

50/50 possession that would never have happened under Dyche, also I thought Mykolenko was playing much higher today. We could have had a draw if DCL would have took one of his chances and should have had z penalty. No Eggs sorry mate that was a big improvement on Sean Dyche's Everton.

I don't think the fullbacks got forward more. Mykolenko certainly hit more crosses tonight then I've seen all season from him but they were from quite deep at times. An improvement in that aspect but I personally doubt the heatmaps would show much of an advancement in his overall field position - he just spent less time playing tame backwards passes when high up the pitch and more time hitting attacking balls towards the box when it was on, regardless of his position.

I wouldn't expect to see anything like night and day with any manager until player recruitment is seriously upped or improved. Without some activity in this window Moyes gets plenty of free swings from me. Far too little quality in the squad to do much more than survive with.
