Some of those players looked like they'd never played together before. Harrison was making runs into areas he couldn't be given the ball, Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin were occupying the same spaces and one of them should have been taken off to resolve that, and Branthwaite thinks he's a silky defender who can step up into midfield when he can't. Crap tonight, Moyes needs reinforcements asap.

I'm not saying it's a difficult chance, but the two chances aren't comparable. One is an open net with the ball at a basic standstill. The other is on the bounce with the ball slightly behind him. Still has to hit the target ofc, but that's not what I'm arguing

the goal is 2m50 high and 6m wide so not hitting the goal from 2 m is actually a circus act even if the ball didnt fall 100% on his footComparing his ability to yourself tells it all.

Pickfords position for the goal was questionable I thought. Seemed to get his angles wrong.

Branthwaite gave the ball away in midfield then one pass and watkins was in. Cant blame the keeper when we’ve coughed up possession so easily

While I had hoped for something tonight the reality of the situation is that you cannot expect the new manager to undo two years of mismanagement in 5 days. We have a mountain to climb, a gap is beginning to appear between the bottom five and the rest of the league, we are very much part of that bottom five. We desperately need new players who can go straight into the first 11 and improve things. Moyes cannot make these players into winners without help from the owners.

We were much improved but villa are different gravy.

New rb, rw, n10 and striker and Moyes can do something.

Difference was night and day but we were realistically never beating villa. Confidence is at an all time low.

I am intrigued to see what Moyes now does against spurs after watching that 11.

Up front is as effective as throwing a water balloon at a tank. Surely there's a youthy to throw in, no expectations on the lad but I'd rather that right now.

Failing to score in 9 of 11 games is an incredible statistic. People might take some comfort from Leicester and Wolves losing, I don’t.
